Using a Calendar to Stay Motivated!

I am a person who has always kept a planner so that I can keep my life in order.  It came in particularly handy while I was balancing three jobs and a bunch of other activities.  I have now found another use for it...to keep myself motivated about going to the gym.  I mark down each day that I get myself to the gym in my planner.  I do this on the monthly calendar part.  I use Avery Removable Color Coding Labels: See Through Round Color Coding Labels

Food Pyramid Facts: A Refresher Course

We've learned about the food pyramid our whole lives, but honestly, how much do you really remember about it?  Unless you're in a profession requiring you to know, training for those professions, have a stellar memory, or are just very curious like me, I'd say that there's probably not that many details you can recall.  Well, here is a bit of a refresher course on the food pyramid and it's components.

Girls who don't sweat at the gym make me slightly jealous...but at the same time, it makes me wonder if they're working as hard as I am.  Any thoughts on this?

When You Feel Like Quitting....


This is particularly appropriate for me today...I try to keep in mind all the reasons I started my fitness kick when I am feeling particularly unmotivated (horrible weather today - sometimes it's the smallest things).  Even just looking back over this blog is a big help in that department too.  I learned so much and I am still learning new information all the time.  I love it!

Bikini Season

I think that it is safe to say that bikini season has arrived...  The temperature is now more often in the 70s and we'll be hitting the 80s by the end of this month.  I have not yet ventured out in a bathing suit, but I know my time will eventually come.  That's why my focus is very strongly on my abdominal region.  I know that the better my core looks, the more confident I'll be when it comes time to rock the bikini.
